The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 10/09/2015 Anna Louise Herring In loving memory of our mother, Anna Louise Patterson Herring, who died peacefully at home Oct. 2, 2015, at the age of 97. She was the last survivor of the 12 children of Joy and Josephine Patterson. Anna taught the children of St. Johns for 17 years and was a lifelong active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Anna is survived by five children, daughters Joy Austin (Boyd), Kathy Christensen (Dave) and Georgia Smith (Steven) and sons David Herring (Carol) and Bow Herring (Rosa). She was loved greatly by her 25 grandchildren, two of which are serving full-time missions, 47 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Carl Herring, and beautiful daughter Elizabeth Herring. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Downtown Chapel, in St. Johns, with visitation at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow the services at the St. Johns Westside Cemetery.
