The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 10/06/2015 Benjamin T. Bennett, 74, of Show Low died peacefully Sept. 22, 2015, at home. He was born March 31, 1941, in Grand Rapids, Mich., the son of Benjamin E. Bennett and Lorrane F. (Bass) McCalmont. When he was a year old, his family moved from Michigan to Arizona, where he has lived most of his life. Ben has always loved truck driving and being a mechanic. He also spent 20 wonderful years of his career working for the City of Show Low, which he loved, and made many lifelong friends. Ben was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Rosalee (Woodside) Bennett; parents Ben and Lorrane; sister Beverly Underwood; and daughter Edith Bustillos. He is survived by his sister, Carol Allen; three sons, Omer Bennett, Tommy Bennett and Richard Bennett; and three daughters, Jane Johnson, Thea Stephenson and Carol Neff; as well as 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one on the way, and many more. He was blessed with a large family and many friends who will truly miss the great man he was. A viewing will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Owens Livingston Mortuary White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th St., in Show Low, with the funeral service to start at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the Show Low Cemetery.
