HAVERLAND, Forest V.


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 10/06/2015 Forest V. Haverland, 90, long-time resident of Show Low, died Sept. 9, 2015, of congestive heart and cancer while visiting family in Pueblo, Colo. He was born May 9,1925, in Evergreen Township, Minn. Forest was a World War II veteran and served in the Navy CBs. He was a professional fighter and trained other professional fighters. He owned many businesses thought the United States and was a man of many adventures. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Haverland; daughters Mara Carrier, Mona Husted, Debbie Brierly and Eva Haverland; sons Steve Haverland and Charlie Haverland; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; sisters Lue Owens and Nancy Hoefs; brothers Larry Haverland and Gary Haverland; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Forest C. Haverland, and mother Eva M. Haverland (Conklin); sisters and brother Valsoria, Berdale and Faith; two sons, Kirk Haverland and Rocky Haverland, both who when to heaven in their 20s. Service were held at the Show Low Cemetery.
