SANDERS 75, of Globe, Passed away October 3, 2015 at Heritage Healthcare Center in Globe. Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 16th - 9:00 - 1-:00 AM - Relief Society Room; LDS Stake Center - Globe. Service to follow at 10:00 AM at the LDS Stake Center in Globe. Burial will occur immediately following in Globe Cemetery. ~~~~~~~~ Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, Arizona, Wednesday, October 14, 2015 Charlotte Kay Sanders, age 75, of Globe, Ariz. passed away on Oct. 3, 2015 at Heritage Healthcare Center in Globe, Ariz. She was born in Superior, Ariz. on Dec. 10, 1939, the daughter of Eugene and Dixie Estes. Charlotte married Buster Sanders at the age of 13. She had two children, Hollis Eugene and Leonard Allen Sanders. Charlotte and Buster traveled for the first few years while he worked on numerous ranches and was in the Navy. Around 1974 Charlotte went back to school to become a nurse, taking classes while waiting tables in the daytime. She eventually became a Registered Nurse and worked mostly in the Emergency Room of Gila General Hospital until it closed. For a few years, she traveled and worked at various hospitals around Arizona until she started working for a local Hospice company. She then worked for the VA Clinic in Show Low until they opened the VA Clinic in Globe, from where she retired in 2007 to stay home with her granddaughter, Annabelle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buster Sanders and her son, Hollis Eugene Sanders. Charlotte is survived by her son, Leonard Allen Sanders; two grandchildren, Nicole Gregory, (Darrell) and Tyrel Sanders (Erin); and her six great grandchildren, Annabelle Gregory, Layla Mitchell, Kayden Sanders, Garrett Gregory, James Sanders and Wyatt Gregory. Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 16, 2015 at 9 a.m. at the LDS Stake Center in Globe. Funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Globe. Interment will be in Globe Cemetery. Assisting the family; Lamont Mortuary of Globe.
