Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, Arizona, Wednesday, October 14, 2015 Raymond G. Saldana passed away Oct. 2, 2015 at his home in Claypool, Ariz. Ray was born Sept. 6, 1937 to Elinor and Raymond V. Saldana in Miami, Ariz. He attended grammar school in Miami, as well as Miami High School. In the 1960s, he owned and operated Ray’s Chevron in Globe, as well as other service stations in the area. Ray also worked as an underground miner. Ray and his son, Raymond III, loved to go to the White Mountains, where they camped and fished and spent time relaxing. Ray is preceded in death by his parents and son. He is survived by his wife, Jackie; sister, Linda Connell of Phoenix; and two stepsons, David Lee of Austin, Texas and Dennis Lee of Staples, Minn. Services will be held at a later date.
