Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, Arizona, Tuesday, October 20, 2015 Dorothy “Dora” Philpot, 89, of Globe, Ariz., entered into eternal life on Monday, Oct. 12, 2015 in Globe, Ariz. Dorothy was born on April 11, 1926 in Eufala, Oklahoma, to Oscar and Goldie Bell. She came to Arizona at the age of 12 with her family. She lived in the Globe/Miami area for 70 years, where she was an active member of the Pentecostal Church of God. Her ministry was serving the community by transporting those in need to church, grocery shopping or doctors’ appointments. As a member of the Pentecostal Ladies Association, she helped raise funds for the building of the River of Life Church by making pasties and catering local events. Dorothy will be greatly missed by her friends and family. She is survived by her sons, John (Bonnie) Philpot and Richard (Veronica) Philpot, 12 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and many great-great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey H. Philpot; parents, Oscar and Goldie Bell; daughters, Goldie Keller and Patricia Teague; and son Dewey Ray Philpot, as well as four brothers and four sisters. Services are to be as follows: Visitation on Friday, Oct. 23, 2015 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the River of Life Church, 5667 E. Golden Hill Rd. Globe, Ariz. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015 at the River of Life Church and the internment will follow at the Pinal Cemetery in Globe, Arizona. The reception will follow at the River of Life Church.
