WATKINS, Lorum Russell

Norvel Owens Mortuary, Flagstaff, Arizona Lorum Russell Watkins (October 27, 1928 - October 21, 2015) Lorum Russell Watkins, 86, of Flagstaff, passed away October 21, 2015 in Glendale, Arizona following a long illness. He was born to Warner & Ida Mabel (Perkins ) Watkins on October 27, 1928 in Chandler, Arizona. He married Geraldean Nations Watkins on February 26, 1947. Mr. Watkins was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a truck driver for many years. Mr. Watkins is survived by his children: Teri Eastman, Larry & Debbie Watkins, Mark & Cindy Watkins, and Tami & Doug Townsend; his grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great great grandson; his siblings: Merlene Garrard, Jeanne Stephenson, Wayne & Peggy Watkins, Warner “R” Watkins, Loraine & Perry Glover, and Norman & Cheryl Watkins; as well as many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Geraldean (Nations) Watkins, and his parents. A visitation will take place Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 9:00 am, followed by funeral services at 10:00 am, both at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – Lake Mary Chapel, 4165 S. Lake Mary Road, Flagstaff, Arizona. The family wishes to express many thanks to the caring staff at both Hospice Compassus and Hospice of the Valley.
