DALTON, Ruth

Vallejo, Calif., area newspaper Wednesday, April 18, 1984 Benicia--Ruth Dalton, 89, of Benicia died Tuesday in a local hospital after a brief illness. A native of Texas, she lived in Benicia for the past 65 years. She was a Benicia elementary schoolteacher for 35 years. She was a member of Silver Gate Chapter No. 30 of the Order of the Eastern Star, a member of the California Teachers Association and of the Congregational Church. She is survived by a sister, Lella Warne of Sacramento. Services will be 2:30pm Thursday in the Passalacqua Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Howard Fuller officiating. Entombment will follow in Skyview Memorial Lawn. Friends may call at the funeral chapel after 2pm today. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Her marriage to Orbbit Lee Byers-- Hassayampa Miner (Wickenburg, AZ) Thursday, February 17, 1916, p 5 Obbit (sic) Lee Byers and Miss Ruth Bratton, both of Prescott, were married here on the 9th by Judge Riggs. They will make their home in Prescott, as Mr. Byers is a brakeman on the Santa Fe.
