The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Thursday, October 29, 2015 John R. Collins, 79, of Prescott Valley, Arizona passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015. He was born in Peterborough, New Hampshire, to Oliver and Leona (Cunningham) Collins of Dublin, New Hampshire. John was a heavy equipment operator for many years. He enjoyed being able to work outside every day in beautiful Northern Arizona. John also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was a passionate NASCAR enthusiast! John is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Pat (nee Kiniry); his children Julieann (Ray) Chabot of Keene, New Hampshire, John R. (Lynn) Collins Jr. of Winchester, New Hampshire, Jodi Lynn Collins of Prescott, Arizona; grandsons John Arthur, Raymond, Adam, Nick and Joe; great-granddaughters Emma and Ava; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by father Oliver; mother Leona Pollard; stepfather Frank Pollard; brother, Frank Jr.; and sister, Ruth Wilson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's name to Diabetes Research or a charity of your choice to honor John. Funeral services were entrusted to Wakelin Family Funeral Homes.
