Arizona Republic (Phoenix AZ) Sunday, October 11, 2015 Emagene Forsyth Neasse passed away on Wednesday (October 7, 2015) at McDowell Village after a long, happy life--filled with love, family, and devotion; reluctantly leaving behind her loving husband, Robert Neasse. She was born in Alexandria, Ohio on October 18, 1921. She was the only child of Harry and Genevieve Forsyth. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Robert Neasse; daughters, Angela Layton, Christine Pytlarz and Tamora Bauserman (Clay). Also surviving are grandchildren: Christy Layton, Wickenburg, AZ, Bonnie Rietz (Lee), New River, AZ, Grant Bauserman, Dublin, OH and Laura Beth Bauserman, Cincinnati, OH. Emagene was a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University with a degree in Speech. Active in college, she was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta, president of Woman's Student Government and May Queen her senior year. She met the love of her life, her husband, Bob, early in their freshman year. They married March 12, 1944 at Asbury Church in Delaware, Ohio. Soon after, they moved to Washington, D.C. where Bob served in the Army's OSS. After the war they moved to Columbus, Ohio where she substitute taught and was active in Beaux Arts. They moved to Marysville, Ohio in 1967. Emagene was very active in her community. She was a member of the P.E.O Sisterhood, Woman's Parliament, and director of Red Cross Blood Donations. She sang in the choir at First United Methodist Church. She was an avid reader, an excellent cook and entertainer and was known for her quick wit. She spent many winter vacations in Florida. She and Bob moved to Cave Creek, AZ in October 1991 where she was a member of North Scottsdale United Methodist Church. In 2011 they moved to McDowell Village where she had loving caregivers, especially Bob. Her family is grateful for the care she received from Hospice of the Valley and hospice nurses, as well as Kathy and Angela. Arrangements are entrusted to Messinger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary. A celebration of her life will be held at Messinger Mortuary, at 8555 E. Pinnacle Peak Road, on Friday, October 16th at 1:00pm. Interment will be at National Cemetery, Cave Creek, Arizona at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014-5656.
