Dennis Hall
(January 14, 1941 - October 30, 2015)
A Working Cowboy passed away October 30, 2015 after a long hard fight against prostate and bone cancer. Dennis L. Hall was born in Denver CO. January 14, 1941. He is survived by his sister, Cynthia Mason of Surprise, AZ; daughter Pam Tillery; granddaughter Kali Tillery of Las Vegas NV; and his Life Partner, Kathy RED Crowfoot of Flagstaff.
He served as a Sgt. in the USMC and was a Purple Heart recipient from his tour in Vietnam. He worked many interesting jobs through his colorful life, gandy-dancer for the railroad, construction, welder on the Eisenhower tunnel in Co, and a wrangler at the Grand Canyon Mule Barn. He loved being a working cowboy and rancher above all other occupations. His brand was the Lazy 33.
Dennis was born at least 100 years too late, as he loved hunting and shooting and living out in the wild. He was happiest on horseback and spent most of life working on several western ranches; the ORO, Muleshoe, and King Ranch. He worked the longest time at the Babbitt Ranches in Flagstaff, which he considered his home.
He was an avid shooter enjoying just about every kind of pistol and rifle made, but black powder was his favorite. He enjoyed his retirement competing in Black Powder Silhouette matches and participated in Arizona, Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma. Guns were his hobby and redheaded ladies were his favorite people.
A Celebration of Life for Dennis will be held by family and friends on Nov. 14, 2015.
