Norvel Owens Mortuary, Flagstaff, Arizona Montie Jean Cribbs (December 18, 1928 - October 29, 2015) Montie Jean Cribbs, age 86, of Cottonwood, Arizona passed away peacefully on October 29, 2015 after a brief battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at Cottonwood Village, 201 E. Mingus Ave., Cottonwood, AZ 86326. Burial services will be at The Hartley Cemetery in Hartley, Texas on November 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. She is survived by her son, Randall Cribbs (Annette) and daughter, Carla Baber (Gus), both of Flagstaff, AZ, 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and her brother Lloyd Burns, Amarillo, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest, and sons Michael and Donald. Montie Jean was born in Panhandle, Texas and moved to Winslow in 1963 wher she lived for 46 years prior to moving to Cottonwood in 2007. She was an active member of the Desert View Baptist Church in Winslow and worked for many years at the Winslow Medical Clinic. Montie loved crocheting, reading (especially her bible), trips to the casino and hummingbirds. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Valley View Care Hospice in Cottonwood or the American Cancer Society.
