ZOBEL, Fred

Weekly Journal Miner, Prescott, Arizona Territory Wednesday, August 16, 1911, page 8, column 3 Popular Pioneer Succumbs To Apoplexy (From Wednesday's Daily) Pioneer residents as well as others in this community will learn with sorrow that Fred Zobel, one of the best known citizens, has passed away, his death occurring yesterday6 morning from a stroke of apoplexy. While his death had been poor for several years, the summons came without the least warning and after lingering for a few hours in an unconscious state, the end came. Mr. Zobel until a few years ago, was one of the most active and industrious of miners. He developed properties in several districts, and acquired quite a snug fortune from a sale made on Lynx Creek. He was born in Germany about 84 years ago, but the greater portion of his life had been spent in this country of his adoption. He arrived in this county over thirty years ago. He was a good man and an exemplary citizen.
