Mr. Tucker was born July 27, 1906 in Blanchard, Mich., and had lived in Arizona for 21 years.
Mr. Tucker was the oldest child of Valis and Cora (Miller) Tucker. At the age of 6, Clifford moved with his parents to the Marsing area of Southern Idaho. Again when he was 12, they moved to the Sandpoint area in Northern Idaho.
On Nov. 25, 1925, Clifford married Marie Penson. The marriage lasted for 72 years until Marie's death in 1997.
At a very young age, Clifford worked for the Spokane International Railroad. After his marriage, he and Marie moved to a logging camp at Naples, Idaho, where he worked a number of years for Brown's Lumber Company.
In 1936, Clifford started farming. He did commercial harvesting for other farmers in the area and also ran a small dairy.
In 1950, Clifford gave up commercial harvesting and they enlarged their dairy farm, selling Grade A milk to Darigold. The dairy was sold to their son in 1969, and Clifford and Marie stayed on the farm helping with the raising of beef cattle. After their retirement, they traveled extensively, making several trips to Alaska, Canada and Mexico.
The Tuckers spent the winters in the desert southwest, first in Quartzsite, then Yuma and finally Wickenburg, where they spent more than 20 winters. They moved to Wickenburg permanently in 1995.
Clifford was a life-long member of the seventh Day Adventist Church.
