Karen Kay Thon (Wenzel), 73, of Lake Havasu City, AZ, formally of 
Hopkins, MN, passed away peacefully in her home on November 18, 
2015. 

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Erion and Edna Wenzel 
and brother-in-law, Dennis Heiland. She is survived by daughters, 
Patty (Joe) Ewalt, Stacy (Val) Thon; grandson, Shane Ewalt; sister, 
Betty Heiland; nieces, Denise (Jim) Dorsey, Kelly (Daren) Matthews; 
nephew, Scott (Susan) Heiland and special friend, Mike Perkins. 

Karen was born in Hopkins, MN on December 3, 1941. She graduated 
from Hopkins High School in 1959. She moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ 
in 2004 to enjoy the warm weather and the beautiful mountain 
sunsets. 

Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and
