WEILENMANN, Will


The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Tuesday, November 17, 2015 Will Weilenmann of Prescott, Arizona died at his home on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015. Will was born on June 26, 1958 in Greenville, Mississippi. He was the son of the late Bill and Bettyann Weilenman of Stoneville. Will attended Leland public schools, Leland Academy and French Camp Academy. In his diverse and colorful life, he worked on the Mississippi River as a first mate for a towboat company, in Colorado Springs as a cowboy, in Vail as a carpenter and later lived in Bodega Bay, California before settling in Prescott. He owned and operated Weilenmann Woodworks for 30 years. Will was blessed with a gift for storytelling and never met a stranger. His greatest pleasure was being with his family and enjoying car racing with his children. In addition to his family, his legacy is many beautiful homes and fine works of carpentry. He enjoyed volunteering at the VFW center in Prescott. Will is survived by his wife of 30 years Sharon Bullard Weilenmann; daughter Shannon Horton; sons William Elijah Weilenmann IV and his wife Shannon and Christopher Brady Weilenmann; three sisters Ellen Walker, Beth O'Reilly and her husband Guy and Jane Weilenman and her husband Dick Hanna; and brother Mark Weilenman and his wife Ginny. Will leaves three grandchildren that he adored: Nevin Horton, Jaci Horton and Liam Weilenmann. He is survived by many nieces and nephews that will love telling "Uncle Will" stories for years to come. The family celebrated his life at his home in the mountains outside Prescott. Memorials can be made to Prescott Fire Department for the families of the Granite Mountain Hotshots.
