David’s Desert Chapel Funeral Home, Wickenburg, Arizona Heather J Yerxa of Wickenburg, Arizona passed away on November 29, 2015. Heather was born on March 20, 1948 in Canada to Harold and Olga (Weir) Yerxa. She is survived by many loving friends and will be greatly missed. Memorial Services will be held January 30th, 2016 at the Gospel Outreach Christian Center. Time will be available closer to the service ~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona Wednesday, February 03, 2016 Heather Joann Yerxa Heather Yerxa, 67, of Wickenburg passed away Nov 29., 2015, at Hospice of the Valley in Surprise. She was born in Canada on March 20, 1948, and moved to Wickenburg as a young child with her mother, Olga Wier, and became a US Citizen in her late teens. She graduated from Wickenburg High School in 1966. She went on to college at Glendale Junior College and later to nursing school at Good Samaritan School of Nursing where she graduated in 1972. She worked as a nurse at various hospitals in the Phoenix area and later at the Wickenburg Nursing Home. She also got a degree as a paralegal assistant and worked in Phoenix for a law firm for a couple of years. She is survived by her step-sister, Susan Arriola; and brother-in-law Greg Arriola of Prescott; niece Rebecca Serratos of Dewey; and nephew Jon Arriola also of Prescott. She was preceded in death by her mother Olga (Wier) Stanlis and step-sister Sandy Stanlis. Heather had a host of friends in Wickenburg and throughout the world and she enjoyed traveling before becoming too ill. She was also an avid baker, dog, horse and bird lover. A celebration of her life was held in Wickenburg on Jan. 30 at Gospel Outreach Christian Center. Arrangements were handled by David’s Desert Chapel.
