Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published on December 4, 2015 - Barbara “Irene” Blissenbach, 76, Lake Havasu City, passed away Nov. 22. 2015 at the Polidori House. Barbara Irene Uribe was born, Aug. 13, 1939 in Los Angeles to Edward and Sally (Zuniga) Uribe. After graduating from high school, she worked as a receptionist in the medical and dental field, while raising three children. Irene married William Blissenbach, Nov. 26, 1982 at Lake Havasu City, where they continued to live until her death. Irene was active in the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed the lake, sun and the peace and tranquility that Lake Havasu provided. Irene loved her family and anything to do with family. She will be missed by all, but especially her best friend and husband Bill. She was a sense of strength and beauty for him. She is survived by her husband Bill; children Bryan (Ellen) Sanguinet, Seattle, Donna (Steve) Naef, Beaumont, Calif., Gina (Joe) Sanguinet, La Mirada, Calif., Vicki Susie (Jerry) Slusiewicz, Laguna Niguel, Calif., Greg Blissenbach, Phoenix; brother, Gilbert (Lydia) Becerra, La Mirada, Calif.; brother-in-law, Frank (Diana) Blissenbach Glendora, Calif.; seven grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; four nephews; two nieces. A memorial service will be at 9 a.m., Saturday, at the Lake Havasu Mortuary Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Polidori House and Hospice of Havasu. Arrangements were made through Lake Havasu Mortuary and Crematory.
