Jim Oram, 76, passed away peacefully on Nov. 27 at home with his
wife and dog Mitzi. They had been by his side after nearly two years
battling pancreatic cancer.
James Richard Oram, son of Charles and Mary Oram, was born in Kansas
City, Mo. on Oct. 20, 1939. In his teen years, the family relocated
to California. James married his high school sweetheart, Jacqueline
Rapp, and together they had four children.
He earned his degree in engineering while working as a machinist of
aerospace parts. He later became a sales representative traveling
all over the United States. He was well-known throughout the
industry as a rep who understood machine parts from the ground up.
In 1988, Jim and his current wife, Margie Twamley, were married in
their backyard in Havasu. Jim commuted every weekend to Havasu from
his office in Los Angeles area for 17 years. Jim loved Havasu and
spent weekends on the water. He is the original owner of his 1967 El
Camino and took great pride in his car.
Jim is survived by his wife, Margie; sons, Jeff Oram, Jason Oram;
and daughter-in-law, Terry Oram; grandchildren, Christine (Brian
Bertucci) Oram, Jennifer (Jason) Visser, Kevin (Becki Hildi) Werner,
Jeffrey, Miranda, Megan and Madeline Oram; great-grandchildren,
Alyssa, Brynn, Hollyn, Hailee and Evan; stepchildren David (Crystal)
Amann and Darci (Rich) Gross; stepgrandchildren Ty, Asher, Danica
Gross, Dakota Amann and Camille Grigdesby; brother, Kenneth Oram;
first wife, Jacqueline Oram.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Renee Oram
Werner, and his son, Rusty Oram.
The care Jim received from Dr. Lyster, Dr. Hade, Dr. Roman and staff
of the Cancer Center enabled him to enjoy many additional months in
his earthly home. The final 10 days were spent under the care of the
wonderful Hospice of Havasu. No funeral services will be held, per
Jim’s request.
Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and
Crematory.
