Richard Joseph Gottard, 76, passed away Nov. 24, 2015 in Parker.
He was born in Pittsburg, Pa. on Jan. 21, 1939.
In 1941, he was adopted by Letha Mae and Rene John Gottard and grew
up in Terre Haute, Ind. He wed Pamela Johnson Gottard, Aug. 26, 1979
at the First Lutheran Church in Geneseo, Ill. They were married for
36 years.
Richard was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and participated in cowboy
action shooting. He enjoyed boating and was a member of SASS (Single
Action Shooting Society). He also loved traveling with his wife,
especially cruising. The couple celebrated their 35th wedding
anniversary on a cruise of the Mediterranean. He was called to
active duty in the U.S. Air Force during the Berlin Crisis.
Richard is survived by his wife, Pamela Gottard of Lake Havasu City;
son Michael Gottardi (Jennifer) of Aubrey, Texas; daughters Cheryl
Bain of Rancho Cordova, Calif. and Margaret Gottard of Antigo, Wis.,
and four grandchildren.
Mass will be celebrated in Terre Haute, Ind. A private family
memorial will be in Texas, and a celebration of life will be in Lake
Havasu at a future date.
Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and
Crematory.
