Robert Leo Payne, 82, of Harlingen, Texas, died Oct. 26, 2015, in Harlingen, Texas, of natural causes. He was born Jan. 12, 1933, in Little Pine, N.C.

Robert served his country for 26 years in the U.S. Army and was a JROTC instructor in Phoenix for 10 years.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, at Hansen Mortuary, 6500 E. Bell Road, in Scottsdale
