LANAGAN, Dolores Lucille

Lake Havasu Mortuary & Crematory - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Dolores Lucille Lanagan, 84 passed away peacefully at her home in Lake Havasu City on June 2nd, 2015 . Dolores was born March 24, 1931 in Chicago, IL. to Linus and Alice O’Connell. Dolores was a dedicated mother to Douglas, (Cathy), Kathryn, David and Paul, Nana to Ethan, Courtney, Taira, Sean, Grayden, Corey, Julia, Jake and Alexis. Grand Nana to Johnny, Cleo, Ever and Margo. She is survived by all of them and the 3 additional great grandchildren to be born later in 2015. Oh and her CATS, she loved her cats. Her brothers Ron & Dennis continue to reside in the Chicago area with their respective clans. Not sure about their love for cats. Dolores had a very special bond with her last granddaughter, Julia who was born and raised in Lake Havasu. They were very close. Julia also loves CATS. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack in March of 2006 and they are now together again just as they should be. Jack, not a cat fan. Married to Jack in 1954 in Reno, Dolores and Jack raised their family in Woodland Hills, CA until retiring to Joshua Tree, CA in 1979, later building their new retirement home in Lake Havasu in 1989 where they spent the rest of their lives together. Dolores, was an avid reader, loved to crochet, word puzzles, board games but above all her truest joy was being with and watching her family grow. Oh and her CATS, she loved her cats. She was the backbone and strength of the Lanagan family! She will always be loved and most certainly be missed by anyone who had the privilege to know her. The world has lost an amazing gift but the heavens have benefited equally. She will be missed…………….. especially by her CATS. MEOW
