Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published on December 13, 2015 >>> Feb. 11, 1930-Dec. 3, 2015 <<< Howard Lawrence Sulis Jr., 85, was born Feb. 11, 1930, passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Born in Malden, Mass., he and his family all moved to Lake Havasu City in 1977. Howard proudly served in the United States Navy as a medic. He worked as an Industrial Engineer for Avco in Massachusetts, working on the Minuteman Missile System; after which his love for construction became his retired occupation. His passion was playing pool, and he played in winter leagues up until a year ago. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Evelyn Sulis; his sister Pat Williams; daughter LaDonna Sulis and his granddaughter K.C. Sulis Creason. He leaves behind his wife Assunta (Susie) Sulis of 64 years; a sister Ginger Leonard; his daughters Donna Sulis Calleja, Mona Whitmire (Dennis), Renee Brindis (Sam); grandchildren, Edward A. McInerney (Cori), Jason Brindis, Starr Rodriguez (Carlos), Alex Sulis Calleja, Cazz Brindis and Eve Brindis; great-grandchildren Savannah McInerney, Israel McInerney, Nevaeh, Koah and Aria Rodriguez; adopted daughter Daun Branam (Pat) and the Duger family, the Sitzer Family, the Carpineto Family, Edward McInerney and many, many loved nieces, nephews and friends. We cannot thank Hospice of Havasu enough for the hard work, dedication, and compassion. We could not have survived these past few months without their help. May God continue to bless this organization. At Howard’s request, there will be no services. Please make any donations to Hospice of Havasu in his memory. Arrangements are under the care of Lake Havasu Mortuary and Crematory, veteran and family owned.
