Paul Fox, a long time resident of Prescott, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Dec. 1, 2015. Paul was born on Jan. 27, 1923 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Harburn and Maddie Fox. He was the fifth son of six brothers.
One of his many memories was working the fields with his brothers and dad while also watching Nebraska blow in from the North while their farm blew south into Texas. Later he joined the CCC, where he learned to cook. When WWII erupted, he answered the call and went into the Army as a cook. When he got to France, the Army needed truck drivers more than cooks and so he delivered troops and supplies to the front lines. On April 23, 1945, he was honorably discharged from the Army.
He later met and married the love of his life, Margret. They then moved to Prescott in 1947. Paul worked briefly as a cook for the VA hospital, and later as a subcontractor working on several buildings. He later set up his own plumbing business. He retired in 1990 so he and Margie could pursue their hobbies.
Earlier this year he was Baptized into Christ, and found a wonderful fellowship at the Church of Christ.
He is survived by his sister, Bettyjo Coleman; and too many nephews and nieces to name them all.
