Elizabeth ‘Libby’ Kurtz

On Thanksgiving morning Nov. 26, 2015, the world lost one of the most amazing, loving and funny women ever. Elizabeth Kurtz died peacefully surrounded in body and spirit by her children, Kellian Chestnut, Walter Kurtz III, Jamie January and Kyle Kurtz.

She was born March 15, 1936.  

In addition to her children, she is survived by seven grandchildren, McKenzie, Nathan, Walter IV, Kerrie, Taylor, Madison and Wilson; seven great-grandchildren; brother Gene Allen (Sue) Porter; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

“We give thanks that you were a big part of our lives and for all of the wonderful memories that will be with us forever. We love you and will miss you with all our heart ... ‘til we meet again.”

Per Libby’s wishes, there will be no formal public service.
