SLADE, Douglas (Doug) Russell

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 12/11/2015 Douglas Russell Slade, 52, died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015, in Eagar. He was born March 25, 1963, in Eagar, the son of Douglas Ray and Rita Marie Rose Slade. Doug served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1982-85. He was self-employed as an excavation business owner. He was a very free spirit and enjoyed life and sharing unconditional love with his wife and family, always taking time to appreciate life for all of his blessings. Doug was a hard worker, always providing for his family. He would show he appreciated his wife by his tender love and was full of laughter and love. He will be truly missed. Doug is survived by his wife, Peggy Lynn Slade; daughters Kassi Marie Slade and Kaila Larie Slade; and stepdaughters Candice Renee Coppedge, Lena Ann Rose Coppedge, Vanessa Marrie McLoed and Trisha Lynn Hall. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Springerville Chapel.
