Herbert Eugene Parrish
On Dec. 11, 2015 at 11 a.m., in Prescott Valley, Arizona, Herbert Eugene Parrish passed away. He left the confines of his Arizona spread destined for the open range.
A true cowboy at heart, Hebert was born in Brookston, Indiana in August 1930. While serving in the Air Force at Davis-Monthan in Tucson, Arizona, he met his bride of 65 years, Rita Parrish. Herbert had a long history as an executive with Mountain Bell until he retired in 1987. He was at one time, President of the Yuma Caballeros and actively involved in the Boys & Girls Club of Tucson.
Herb and Rita chose Arizona as home for all those years and raised three children, Michael, Mary and Leighann. His grandchildren, Tyler, Trevor, Cole and Devon will forever carry on his namesake.
Herb was a wonderful, caring and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Even though our hearts are broken, we know he will be sitting high up on the mountainside with his cowboy hat on and hot coffee in his hand, watching over us every day. We love you Dad!
