Another Victim Of White Plague
It will be learned with much sorrow that Joe L. Enos passed away
yesterday in this city, tuberculosis being the fatal affliction.
He came to Prescott from Cumberland, Maryland about six years ago,
and struggled vainly to prevent the inevitable, abandoning his
profession as a dentist to seek the open in Lonesome valley, where
he acquired farming lands.
Only a short time ago, he informed his friends that 'when the leaves
begin to fall, I feel as if the end will come soon,' and this
premonition was fulfilled.
Enos was a young man of only twenty-six years. He was of a
temperament that made him a host of friends.
Relatives survive in Cumberland and the remains are at Ruffner's to
be prepared for shipment home.
