Arizona Daily Star, Tucson, Arizona, February 24, 2006 BOJORQUEZ MACHAD0, Delia Teresa, age 76, went home to our Lord on Wednesday, February 22nd, 2006. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 35 years, Alfonso E. Machado, and sisters, Mariana Ruiz, Esperanza Lopez and brother, Manuel Bojorquez. Delia was the devoted mother of Jose L. Machado (Lourdes), Vivian Cuesta (Carlos), Alfonso J. Machado (Gina), Dennis C. Machado (Bernice), and Paul P. Machado (Michelle). A cherished grandmother of 13, she is also survived by sisters, Licha Ruiz, Ofelia Figueroa, Concha Bojorquez, and brother, Robert Bojorquez. Delia will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, friends and extended family members. Delia was born in Tucson, Arizona and raised both in Tucson and Los Angeles, California. She possessed a special passion for working with children, and is best remembered for her work for many years as a teacher's aide at Carrillo Elementary School, where she herself once attended. Most notably, she was instrumental in bringing the tradition of Las Posadas back to Carrillo. As our Lord gives Delia "posada" in heaven, she will be dearly remembered. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 24, 2006, 4:00-10:00 p.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY (North Chapel), 204 S. Stone Ave., with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered on Saturday, February 26, 2006, 10:30 a.m. at Santa Cruz Church, 1220 S. 6th Ave. Interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery.
