Lois Helen Kaiser Streccius, 90, of Prescott Arizona, died peacefully on Dec. 14, 2015 in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Lois was born Oct. 26, 1925 in Springfield, Illinois to John George and Matilda (Bullerman) Kaiser. She was once married to Arthur H. Streccius. She was a loving and devoted mother who raised her children with a deep sense of Christian love and faith.
Lois received her Bachelor Degree of Science from the College of Saint Frances. Throughout her nursing career, she worked in a variety of specialty areas retiring in 1992. Lois was a recovering alcoholic with 43 years of sobriety. She lived by the 12-step program and was a sponsor to many in recovery.
You could always find Lois in her yard. She loved to watch things grow and every year had a vegetable and herb garden. She loved roses, irises and humming birds as well.
Lois was a life-long Lutheran and a strong witness for the Lord Jesus. She was an active member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Prescott. Besides church, Lois made time to volunteer for the local American Red Cross.
Lois is survived by her three children, Julie (Dick) Lessard of Prescott, Arizona, Tim Streccius of Flemming Island, Florida, Pastor John (Glenda) Streccius of Minot, North Dakota; 10 grandchildren; and her brother Herbert Kaiser of Issaquah, Washington.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her three sisters, Dorothy, Norma and Lorna; and one granddaughter, Emma Lee Streccius.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015, at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Prescott, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Red Cross.
