Arrangements by ABC Funerals. --------------------- The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, February 2, 2016, p. 6a August 3, 1927 - January 4, 2016 Bernie A. Carper passed on from this life at 88 years of age and into the loving arms of our Lord on Jan. 4, 2016. Bernie married the love of his life, Anna L. (Mattern) Carper in 1948 and they spent the next 67 years sharing many life adventures. Bernie was an independent trucker, an excellent mechanic and welder. He loved the challenge of going "junkin" and finding something (especially with four wheels), fixing it and making a profit. He also greatly enjoyed going fishing, playing ping-pong and was an accomplished bowler. Bernie deeply loved his wife and family and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife Anna; their son Bernie G.; daughters Margie (Ronnie) Good and Bonnie (Sheldon) Juneau; and his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A memorial service in his honor will be at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, at the Mayer Community Church, 10001 S. Fifth St., Mayer, Arizona. Information provided by survivors.
