Lois LaVell (Hunt) Schneider, 83, of Snowflake died peacefully Friday, Dec. 18, 2015, at Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center in Show Low as the result of heart complications.
She was born Sept. 25, 1932, in Snowflake, to Willis and Bertha (Ellsworth) Hunt.
LaVell graduated from Snowflake High School and went on to attend LDS Business College. During her high school years she met and fell in love with Jack Barbour Schneider. They later married Feb. 27, 1952.
LaVell was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to cook and sew and enjoyed dancing and socializing with family and friends. She was a natural teacher of the gospel of Jesus Christ with her family and in her many church callings.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Schneider; sister Joann (Pete) Pratt; daughters Lisa (Richard) Eich, Kelly (Kent) Williams and Paula (Lynn) Johnson; sons Jeff (Norma) Schneider and Barry (Karla) Schneider; 23 grandchildren and a host of step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 28, at the Main Street Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A family greeting line will be held at 9 a.m. There will be no viewing.
Internment will be held at RV “ Mike” Ramsay Memorial Cemetery in Snowflake.
Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor handled arrangements.
