FINCH, Alfred O.

Prescott Journal Miner, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, February 13, 1913, page 4, column 5 Apoplexy Claims Al Finch As Victim Falls Dead While He Is Walking Across Cabin Floor Al Finch, on of the best known miners in this county, dropped dead at the cabin of J. W. Hobbs, near Thumb Butte, yesterday morning at about 7:00 o'clock. Apoplexy is given as the cause. At the time he was with his nephew, Frank Finch, and when he arose from the bed he appeared to be in good health. Stopping a few feet away after dressing himself he lunged forward without uttering a word, and in a few seconds he was a corpse. He had been in ill health for several months, and when in this city about two weeks ago, complained of his mental faculties as being affected. He was the owner of many mines in the copper Basin district, and had been a resident of this county for over twenty years. He was aged about 55 years and a native of California. Transcriber's note: Mr. Finch is buried in an unmarked grave at the Citizens Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona.
