Vera Louise Amado, age 75, of Globe, Ariz. passed away on Dec. 26, 2015 at Hospice of the Valley in Gilbert, Ariz. She was born in Snowflake, Ariz. on June 14, 1940, the daughter of Amasa and Ruth Willis. She was a homemaker.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was proceeded in death by her husband of 44 years, Anthony G. Amado.
She is survived by her six daughters: Shirley DeLatorre of Mesa, Ariz., Angie Montolla (Anthony) of Mesa, Ariz., Gina Jonovich (Wayne) of Globe, Ariz., Yvonne Andrade of Mesa, Ariz., Rachel Amado of Globe, Ariz. and Dawnelle Amado of Palm Beach, Fla. She had 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
She enjoyed and loved her family deeply, loved cooking, going to casinos, loved shopping and her favorite pastime was endless trips to Laughlin and Las Vegas with her daughters. Her passion was watching and attending Arizona Diamondback games and she loved talking to her family on the phone daily. She was a loving, kind soul who will be missed by all who knew her. Her legacy will never be forgotten.
Services were held on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015 at Our Lady of The Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Miami, Ariz.
