COVINGTON, Mary Alyce

Mary Alyce Covington, 78, of Scottsdale, AZ, passed away May 5, 2006. Born and raised in Penalosa, KS, she married Mel Covington in 1948 and moved to Scottsdale. She was a member of the Hope Community Church and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Survivors include her husband Mel; daughter Linda Barnett; sons Charles and Michael; grandchildren Nichole, Steven, Emily, Kelly and Dylan; great- granddaughter Brianna; sister Ethel Geesling; and nephews Byron and Bruce Milburn. A graveside service will be held at 9:00a.m. Saturday, May 13 at Paradise Memorial Gardens, 9300 E. Shea Blvd., Scottsdale, AZ. A celebration of life will immediately follow at Hope Community Church, 7901 E. Sweetwater Ave., Scottsdale, AZ 85260. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Church or Hospice of Arizona, 2222 W.
