| Wickenburg Sun (Wickenburg AZ) Friday, July 4, 1952 Services For V.P. Adams Were Held Here Saturday The Wickenburg Resident Of Eight Years Died June 26 Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon for Virgil Patrick Adams who died at his home here the evening of June 26 after a long illness. Rev. Billie Pate, pastor of the Baptist Church, conducted the rites in the Wickenburg Chapel and the American Legion conducted the graveside services. Born In Tennessee Mr. Adams was born March 24, 1893, in Trezvant, Tenn. He lived in Arkansas, Louisiana and Washington before coming to Wickenburg in 1941 for a short stay and later in 1944 to remain. Prior to coming here, he had been with the Navy Department in Bremerton, Wash., for 18 years and had been in the real estate business there for five years. He engaged in the real estate business here. Widow And Son Survive Surviving are the widow and one son, Michael, of Wickenburg; a brother, Adrian, of Rusten. La.; and two sisters, Mrs. J.D. Tuten of Lake Charles, La., and Mrs. Armon Bates of Tulsa, Okla. See Also: Find A Grave |
