Popular Mining Man Suddenly Called
George E. Oyler Well Known In This Section Passes Away After Few
Days Illness

One of the best known mining men in this country, George E. Oyler,
has passed away, his death occurring Saturday after a few day
illness due to cerebral hemorrhage. Oyler was stricken at his camp
in Chaparral, and brought to the city for treatment late last week.
The deceased had been in this section for more than 30 years, being
interested in working under a lease different mines, as well as in
recent months was he operating his own properties, with good
results.
The loss of this exemplary citizen and industrious man is deeply
regretted by all who knew him, as he bore a splendid name wherever
known.
Oyler was about 50 years of age. He leaves a wife and six children.
Burial was given yesterday from Ruffner's, Rev. Hartshorn
officiating. Pallbearers were: Frank Winn, A. J. Herndon, Benjamin
Rybon, B. H. Peterson, Joe H. Drew and D. H. Biles.
