For the past 19 years Robert was a resident of San Diego, CA. Graduate of Gary Emerson High School Class of 1932; retired supervisor from US Steel Gary Works Production Planning Dept. after 44 years of service. Formerly very active with the Optimist Club, Miller; former member of Marquette Park United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Clyde & Kathleen (Van Scoyoc) Lewis. Survivors: wife, Marian R. (nee Reel) Lewis of Demotte; 3 sons, Robert G. (Lea) Lewis of Demotte, Gordon C. (Carolyn) Lewis of Rensselaer, William R. (Jane) Lewis of Seattle, WA; 2 daughters, Marian K. (Robert) Erwin of Demotte, Carol Sabins of San Diego, CA; 3 sisters, Annabelle Linquist of Crown Point, Helen (Joseph) Paul of Black Canyon City, AZ, Marian Sanders of Humboldt, AZ; 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, many nieces & nephews. Funeral services Wednesday March 11, 1 p.m. from Burns Funeral Home, Crown Point, corner of 101st & Broadway, Merrillville/Crown Point. Rev. Paul Strickland officiating.
