| Arizona Weekly Journal Miner, Prescott, Arizona Territory Wednesday, June 8, 1887, page 2, column 6 Died - Helm, in Prescott, June 5th, Charles Watson Helm, a native of Nevada City, California, aged 21 years, 5 months and 12 days. ---------------- Arizona Weekly Journal Miner, Prescott, Arizona Territory Wednesday, June 8, 1887, page 3, column 5 We are pained to announce the death of C. W. Helm, a very bright and promising young man, brother of J. D. Helm, a well known citizen of this county. Deceased came here last month to be treated for mountain fever, and though the case was an exceedingly obstinate one, it finally yielded to treatment and he was apparently improving. On Saturday evening he was taken worse again, and hemorrhage of the bowels ensuing he sank rapidly until four o'clock on Sunday morning, when he breathed his last. He was attended during his last days by his two brothers, J. D. and H. H. Helm, who were devotedly attached to him, and who have the warmest sympathy of the community in the loss they have sustained. The funeral took place this afternoon from the Marina Street church, and was attended by a large and sympathetic concourse of citizens. Rev. J. G. Eberhart preached a very eloquent and touching sermon on the occasion. ------------------------------------- Transcriber's note: Mr. Helm is buried in the Citizens Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona.
