| Wickenburg Funeral Home & Crematory, Wickenburg, Arizona Ernest C. Hindenlang, age 87, passed away January 29, 2016 in Sun City, Arizona. Ernest was born March 19, 1928 in Decatur, Indiana to John & Martha Hindenlang. He was raised there and attended schools there. He later served in the U.S. Army being stationed in Japan primarily. Following his military service he returned to Indiana working briefly in the Ft. Wayne area and then moving to California and eventually to Phoenix. Ernest worked for Motorola as a supervisor retiring after 29 years of service. He was a former member of the American Legion posts in Yarnell, Az, Decatur,In. and Willshire, Ohio as well as a member of the V.F. W., Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He and wife Phyllis moved to Wickenburg in 1990. He enjoyed gardening and the outdoors. He loved riding ATV's in the desert with friends. Ernest is survived by his wife Phyllis of Wickenburg and son David Hindenlang of Tucson, step-sons Mark (Sherri) Arnold of Paducah, KY, Jay (Linda) Arnold of Liberty, IL., and a brother Gene (Judy) Hindenlang of Decatur, IN as well as nephews, Mark, Tim & Rick Hindenlang. Services will be held at a later date in Indiana. |
