Steven Anthony “Bigg Dogg” Aragon, 47, died peacefully Friday, Jan. 22, 2016, at his home in Springerville. He was born Sept. 8, 1968, in Springerville, the son of Elias Pino Aragon and Margaret Concha (Aragon) Baca.

Steven graduated from Round Valley High School in 1986. After graduation he attended a welding trade school in Phoenix. He later returned home and worked as a cook in various restaurants in the area.

In 1997 he moved to Phoenix to work for Chas Roberts Heating and Cooling as a parts manager and returned to Springerville in 2006, where he lived until his death.

He enjoyed going to concerts, movies, listening to music, using technology and loved watching the Green Bay Packers. He loved spending time with his family and friends, his tattoos and his Team Loco family.

Steven is survived by his mother, father and stepmother Linda Aragon; niece Veronica (Zack) Van Slyke and their children; countless family and many, many friends.

Everyone knew his greatest treasure and the light of his life — “the boss of him” — was his great niece, “Princess” Allee, and nephew Wyatt “Gordoman” Van Slyke.

He was preceded in death by his younger brother, David “Goolie” Aragon; paternal grandparents, Eusebio and Felicita Aragon; and maternal grandparents, Patricio and Elisaria Baca.

He is loved and will be greatly missed by many.

Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Springerville, with a memorial Mass following at 10 a.m.
