| Camp Verde Bugle, Camp Verde, Arizona Thursday, December 15, 2015 Athleen Mae Miller, 83 of Camp Verde, passed away on December 10, 2015 in Mesa. She was born on January 11, 1932 in Oceana, West Virginia to Luther and Alverta (Toler) Elkins. Athleen attended Oceana Middle and High School. She was a housewife and homemaker. She loved family gatherings and holiday cooking. Athleen enjoyed cooking, quilting, crocheting, camping, and playing cards and boardgames with the kids and grandkids. Athleen was preceded in death by her husband James F. Miller and parents Luther and Alverta. She is survived by son Glenn D. Miller of Mesa; daughter Diana L. Gilbert (Anson) of Mesa; sister Bonnie Jean Cox of Oceana, WV; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-child. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 10:30am at Westcott Funeral Home, 1013 E. Mingus Ave in Cottonwood.
