Harold Eugene White, 82, of Cottonwood, AZ, passed away Sunday, Jan. 17, 2016 at Valley View Care Hospice House. He was born June 2, 1933 at Polo, IL.
His father was Hugh White and mother, Adeline Tonn Miller.
He married Peggy White on Jan 16, 1979 in Galesburg, IL. Harold attended school in Independence, Iowa and Galva, Illinois.
He was a member of Cottonwood Christian Assembly.
He worked as a bookkeeper at the Galesburg Register-Mail Newspaper for over 30 years. He retired in June 1995 and moved to Cottonwood.
Harold was an exceptional athlete until he became a paraplegic as a result of polio in 1949. He never let his handicap prevent him from doing whatever he set his mind to. He was an avid sports fan but even more avid student of the Bible. He especially loved studying end times.
Harold is survived by his wife, Peggy; three daughters, Michelle Teel (Allan), Betsy Midkiff (Brandon), and Sarah Mickle (Jacob); his step son, Nathan Hagan (Candi); nine grandchildren, Ashley Harper, Hannah Martin, Andrew Nahar, Miciah Hagan, Cameron Nahar, Caleb Hagan, Noelle Hagan, Chloe Midkiff, and Addison Midkiff; his great grandchild, Amelia Harper; his brother, Cecil White of Cleveland, TN; four nephews and one niece.
