| Wakelin Family Funeral Homes, Prescott, Prescott Valley, Arizona February 2016 Rosemary Ann (Kelley) Bressler, 83, passed away on February 8, 2016 with family by her side, after a long battle with cancer. Rosemary was born on Nov. 2, 1932 in South Bend Indiana. She was a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Marine Corps League Auxiliary. She volunteered at the VA Medical Centers in both Denver, CO and Prescott, AZ. She had over 10,000 volunteer hours in and she was selected as Volunteer of the Year. Rosemary retired in 1993 from the Department of Colorado American Legion Auxiliary as Secretary Treasurer. Before she held this position she was a keypunch operator for businesses in Indiana, Illinois and Colorado. She was also active with the local chapter of the Red Hat Society, Almost Angels. Rosemary loved to travel and was always ready to go when a friend or family member said "Let's go!" Rosemary especially loved to cruise and had just recently returned from a cruise to the Caribbean with her two daughters. Rosemary is survived by her children Michael of Chino Valley AZ, Karen of Centennial CO and Sandra Miller (Keith) of Villa Park IL; as well as two granddaughters, Deandra and Amanda Miller; brother, John Kelley (Hazel), sisters Barbara Toepp (Burton), Sharon Winans and Mary Helen Vest, sister in law Everdene Kelley; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean, in 1995; her parents William and Estella Kelley and two brothers, William and Thomas. Rosemary will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She was always there to help a friend or family member in need. She also had enormous compassion for veterans and their families. Her laugh, smile and quick wit will be greatly missed. Our family takes comfort in knowing she is at peace and no longer in pain. A Celebration of Life will be at 10 a.m. Friday, February 12, 2016 at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church at 2062 N. Hwy 89 in Chino Valley. All are welcome to join us in honoring Rosemary. There will also be a Celebration of Life in Colorado at Crown Hill Cemetery and Mortuary at 7777 West 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge CO 80033, where final internment will take place.
