| The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona Wednesday, February 10, 2016 Wendell Ethan Allen This is for you, Dad… You were an amazing, remarkable man whose example gave us guidance; whose wisdom pointed us in the right direction; and whose love we will carry with us for the rest of our lives. The things you have given us through the years have been some of the most priceless gifts any person could have ever received. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being so loving and selfless and the true example of what a dad, a papa and a husband should be. Wendell Ethan Allen was born on Jan. 7, 1941, and went to be with our Lord in Heaven on Jan. 17, 2016. Wendell is survived by his beautiful bride of 54 years, Betty Ro Allen; two children, Joe Kirk Allen and Kimberlee Bromm; three grandchildren, Kade Nilson (married to Kari Nilson), Kayla Newman (married to Luke Newman) and Jacob Bromm; two adorable great-grandchildren, Kameron and Peyton Nilson; three sisters; a brother, and a host of nieces and nephews. Services for Dad were held on Jan. 22 at David’s Desert Chapel. A celebration of his life followed at Rancho Bar 7 for lunch and Budweiser. We want to thank everyone who made it out to the services and for the outpouring of support we have received from this amazing community. We miss him like crazy, but we are comforted in knowing that he is at peace and no longer in any pain. Please rest in peace Dad, we’ll take it from here. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a tax deductible donation in Wendell’s name to the Spondylitis Association of America at: http://www.spondylitis.org/ Arrangements were handled by David’s Desert Chapel. |
