Perry Sims

Perry Inez Sims, 92, of Prescott, died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 1994, in Cortez, Colo., while visiting. She was born Sept. 22, 1902, in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Mrs. Sims moved to Prescott in 1929 from Las Vegas, Nev.

She is survived by her husband, Alva, whom she married Dec. 1, 1921 in Knoxville, Tenn; sons, Karl of Prescott and Phillip of Clarkdale; daughters, Edith Mahana of Phoenix, Mary Collins of Sacramento, Calif., Patricia McAllister of Cortez, Colo., and Barbara Gill of Gallup., N.M.; 27 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, John, in August 1989.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 6, in the First Baptist Church, Goodwin and Marina streets, with the Rev. John Doyel officiating.

Interment will follow in Oddfellows Cemetery in Prescott.

In Lieu of material remembrances the family suggest friends remember the Perry Inez Sims Memorial Fund, c/o First Baptist Church, Goodwin and Marina streets, Prescott, Ariz., 86305, in her memory.

Memory Chapel Mortuary in Prescott made the arrangements.
