William E. Clawson, 59, a road construction foreman before he moved here 18 months ago from Saxton, Pa., died Thursday in Phoenix Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Clawson, 216 W. Cody, was a member of the Odd Fellows and Raystown Brethren Church, both in Saxton. He was born in Saxton.

Services will be Monday afternoon in Bloom's Mortuary, 3800 S. Central. Friends may call there after 10 a.m. today. Burial will be in East Resthaven Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Pearl; a son, Robert of Hopewell, Pa.; three daughters, Mrs. Margaret McCavitt of Phoenix; Mrs. Blanche West of Buffalo, N.Y.; and Thelma Clawson of Takoma Park, Md.; his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Clawson of Saxton; a brother and a sister, out of state; and three grandchildren.
