Helen B. Hartin, 86, died Thursday, July 15, 1999, in Camp Verde.

She was born Oct. 28, 1912, in LaGrange, Mo., to Edwin O. & Jennie May (Foster) Palmer.

Mrs. Hartin moved to Prescott in 1934. She married Charles R. Hartin in 1936.

She was a member of the Prescott Firemen's Auxiliary. She was a volunteer for the Humane Society and she loved to garden.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles in 1982.

Survivors include her daughter, Anitaraye Shehi, of Camp Verde; son, Charles II of Apache Junction; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 114 S. Marina St., with the Rev. Fr. Paul Crowell as the celebrant.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Humane Society, 1625 Sundog Ranch Road, Prescott, Az., 86301.
