He was born May 18, 1925, in Jackson, Mo., to parents Charles Gus Allen and Lorene (Masterson) Allen and Lorene (Masterson) Allen. Bob attended rural schools there and later moved with his family to the Phoenix-Tempe area. He participated in sports at Tempe High and graduated. A comfortable mobile home was where he and Billie lived on the outskirts of Show Low for many years. They enjoyed raising German shepherds and the wildlife in their area. After her passing, Bob remained in Show Low with his pets. Bob had a pleasant personality and made many friends. He enjoyed all types of music, watching sports (car racing, golf and football). He loved Arizona and the years spent in the Show Low area. However, he became ill some four months ago and consented to move near his daughter and her family. They were pleased to have him near for the few months he lived there.
