| The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 02/16/2016 Mollie Castillo, 82, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016, at her home in Eagar, with her family by her side. She was born June 4, 1933, in Springerville, the daughter of Theodoro and Anne Romero Jaramillo. Mollie was the Head Start director for 20 years in Springerville. She loved children; every child she encountered was one of her own. She was so proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She never knew a stranger and loved cooking for everyone. Her passion was caring for others. Mollie is survived by her husband, Frank Castillo of Eagar; sons Darren Jaramillo of Mesa, Cory (Pamela) Jaramillo of Eagar and Frankie (Jeanie) Castillo of Missoula, Mont.; brother Andres Jaramillo; grandchildren April (Luke) Eagar of Eagar, Durand (Ashley) Jaramillo of Eagar, Darrienne Jaramillo of Springerville, Niko Jaramillo, Zachary Jaramillo and Claire Marie Castillo; and great-grandchildren Beau, Kody, Reagan and Ryan. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Teddy Joe Jaramillo and brothers Benjamin Jaramillo and Delfino Jaramillo. A viewing will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, Feb. 19, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Springerville. Rosary and a funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. Interment will follow Mass at the Springerville Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held immediately following the interment at St. Peter’s Catholic Church Hall. Burnham Mortuary of Eagar handled arrangements. See Also: Find A Grave |
